Single pages and double-page spreads announcing particular themes ("Parts of the Body," "Toys," "Jobs") introduce readers to common vocabulary words; Paprocki's accompanying illustrations of the featured words pale in comparison to Curious George creator H. A. Rey's work. But for the presence throughout the book of one well-known inquisitive monkey, this title would be pretty interchangeable with other word books.
